Sysinternals Live

Sysinternals is a great company that been providing sysadmins with numerous tools that we can’t live out or a must have in our toolbox. They are currently under Microsoft but the tools are still available for free. To name a few from the toolbox would have to be bginfo and psinfo.

The Microsoft Windows Sysinternals Team has developed a new site to test an alternate distribution mechanism for their utilities. Users would have to run these tools from any computer connected to the Internet WITHOUT having to navigate to a webpage, download and extract the zip file.

Simply enter a tool’s Sysinternals Live path into Windows Explorer or a command prompt as \\live.sysinternals.com\tools\<toolname> or view the entire Sysinternals Live tools directory in a browser at http://live.sysinternals.com.
