Sending fax using ADSL
The question about sending fax using ADSL is quite common and the answer is NO. After you upgrade your internet connection from dialup, if you still wished to fax using PC then keep the modem. If you keep your old modem, you can still use software fax products like WinFax Pro. You simply use your telephone line as before, by plugging a telephone line into your dial-up modem as before. This holds true whether or not you get ADSL over your home phone or SDSL on another line.
Other online solution such as jfax.com or efax.com allow the customer to have their own dedicated fax number. This allow them to send and received fax messages (and voice messages) in their mail inbox.
