Checking external IP from Linux

Simple method I found to show current external IP from Linux

[root@samsonite qmail_tmp]# curl -s http://checkip.dyndns.org/ | grep -i address

<html><head><title>Current IP Check</title></head><body>Current IP Address: 209.24.148.170</body></html>
